Online Mathematics Courses

Have you ever asked yourself our someone else what are they looking for in an online mathematics course. What expectations do they have when they read the objective or course description that is displayed in your online content.

Some of the comments I have received are:

  • The objective or course description should match the content.

  • The videos should be engaging so teachers can use them if they wanted to teach a concept in their classroom.

  • Videos should include students or be taught by students.

  • Manipulative should be used when applicable to teach the concept and bridge from the concrete to the abstract.

  • The content should be parent friendly.

  • The content should be accessible to students, parents and teachers 24/7.

There are many more response but I prefer to hear your opinion.

What are you looking for when you see and online Algebra I course? What specific content would you want to see addressed?
